About Me
Travel, planning, and pet care built around real experience.
I’ve lived in five countries, worked in conservation and sustainability across a few more, and spent most of my free time exploring as much of the world as I can. 75+ countries so far, with plenty of ground still to cover.
Growing up on 100 acres surrounded by animals probably set the tone for a lot of it. I ended up studying conservation biology, moving into work with international organizations on corporate sustainability and nature-based finance, and somewhere along the way became the kind of person who books a flight the way other people book a restaurant. That background is the through line for everything on this site.
The travel planning side comes from years of figuring out how to move through the world on any budget, in any style, and actually get something out of it. The sustainability piece comes from working on it professionally and caring about it long before that. And the dog care business comes from the same place a lot of this does, a genuine love of animals that started young and never really faded.
Steve Irwin was genuinely a hero of mine growing up. The zoo felt like a pilgrimage. That feeling of wanting to protect animals and wild places never went away, it just eventually turned into a career and a way of living.
If you’re here for travel planning, I hope something here is useful. If you’re here about dog sitting, your dog will be in good hands.
